Veterans often find that injuries sustained during service can make everyday activities more difficult. Over time, these challenges may reduce movement, independence, and overall quality of life. Exercise programmes funded by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) provide an effective way to manage these conditions and support long-term health and wellbeing.

As we age, our bodies need intentional movement to stay strong and active. Exercise Physiology is a form of preventative healthcare that helps veterans maintain independence, mobility, and confidence into their later years.

Veterans who hold a DVA Gold Card and have a referral from their GP can access Exercise Physiology sessions at Everybody Physiotherapy.

Sessions are tailored to each individual and may include gym-based, hydrotherapy pool, or community-based exercise programmes designed to improve function and quality of life.

Treatment plans are carefully structured and include:
– Initial assessment and personalised exercise program
– Regular progress reviews
– Ongoing rehabilitation and progression
– Written reports provided back to your GP
