WORKERS COMPENSATION PHYSIOTHERAPY
Our Physiotherapists treat injured and ill workers as appropriate to the nature of their injury or illness and at varying stages throughout the span of the RTW (Return-To-Work) process. With treatment goals aimed at facilitating the recovery and work capacity of the worker. If you are visiting us under work cover you will need to bring your GP referral and Workers compensation claim number with you to your appointment.
When should I consider a Hydrotherapy program?
With a heated deep water Hydrotherapy pool onsite our Physiotherapists are able to offer exercise programs in our hydrotherapy pool. Doing an exercise program in a heated pool provides health benefits particularly for patients whose injuries are easily aggravated with weight bearing activities.
The buoyancy of water reduces weight bearing impact on muscles and joints and allows our patients to remain active and conduct their exercise program in an environment that unloads their injuries/conditions. Through reduced risk of injury aggravation, patients are able to increase their aerobic fitness, strength, and mobility. Where appropriate our hydrotherapy exercise programs provide a graded progression from non-weight bearing to land based activity.
If you want to improve your health or want to return to full fitness following an injury, call on (02) 4721 1222 or 0451 143 722 to make an appointment.
